This one-of-a-kind Tri-Corn Bowl is handturned from a storm-fallen Black Walnut branch in my backyard, crafted into a sculptural live edge piece with three raised, natural points that give it its distinctive shape.

The live edge contours remain untouched, creating an organic flow that highlights the grain, bark transitions, and natural textures of the walnut. With three elevated sides, this bowl has the look of a tri-corn hat or a three-pointed natural vessel — something you don’t see every day in woodturning.

This piece isn’t made for holding liquids, but it shines as a decorative catch-all, centerpiece, jewelry bowl, candle base, or shelf display. At every angle, the deep chocolate tones of Black Walnut blend with the lighter sapwood and live edge, making it a functional piece of art.
